High Altitude Adventurer Ed Viesturs to Address "Adapting to Change" at VIPAR Heavy Duty's Annual Business Conference October 18-23.

With a theme of "Evolution," the 2009 VIPAR Heavy Duty Annual Buisness Conference will be held October 18-23 at the JW Marriott Marco Island, Fla.  This year's conference marks the organization's 20th anniversary and will feature a keynote address by Ed Viesturs, America's leading high altitude mountaineer.   In his presentation, "Adapting to Change," Viesturs will expand upon the them of this year's event.  The VIPAR Heavy Duty Annual Business Conference brings together VIPAR Heavy Duty distributors, supplier partners, and industry associates to facilitate the productive exchange of ideas and information benefiting all participants.

"We are excited to welcome Ed Viesturs to our conference with an inspirational message about his adventures as a professional mountaineer and more importantly, how he has overcome great odds to succeed on the world's highest mountains," said Jeff Paul, director of marketing, VIPAR Heavy Duty.  "Our 2009 conference provides us with the opportunity to enjoy this important 20th anniversary milestone in the life of our organization.  But it also allows us to celebrate how our distributors have evolved to succeed in light of the myraid of changes we have witnessed in teh heavy duty aftermarket during the past two decades and how they will continue to adapt into the future." 

Conference events include: a tradeshow, one-on-one stockholder/supplier partner meetings, general sessions, the annual stockholders meeting, as well as varios other business programs.  The event will kick off with a welcome reception on Sunday, October 18 and conclude with the annual dinner Thursday, October 22.
